I'm Teri Fotheringham, a Denver-based photographer for 30+ years specializing in architectural, interior design, real estate, and commercial photography. AvalonBay Communities is a leading multi-family real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on developing, redeveloping, acquiring, and managing distinctive communities in select U.S. markets.

We started just before 2020 on this new project and it took over 2 years to finish photographing because of Covid. There were loads of installment issues, product and design issues, everything you think about with a new apartment complex. hotographing multi-family buildings required a comprehensive visual story covering unit interiors, shared amenities and exterior architecture.

With 40+ years of expertise, SDA Inc., a family-owned firm, delivers high-performance developments built for lasting impact. SDA, Inc. specializes in secure federal offices and medical facilities tailored to meet real operational needs.

Working with SDA, Inc. for this newly built Veterans' Clinic in Castle Rock was a breeze. We walked through the property to specify exactly what needed to be photographed and what were the defining characteristics to the design and needs of the clientele that would be attending this location. Photographing each area was a challenge only in that I had not photographed a clinic before this one.

Station 19/ Architects

Station 19 Architects. The accessibility work done in the 1970’s was removed and the façade restored with inspiration from the original design, leaving this church with a more welcoming/open accessible entrance. Photographing the exterior required a few drone shots as it is located in central Denver. A larger modern elevator was inserted in the interior of the building to navigate the many levels. Each level required improvements and restoration to be photographed and to accommodate the new elevator. In addition the main level received expanded and accessible restrooms and a complete refresh of the adjacent spaces. We also photographed a new patio and interior meeting space was set aside for a future community based hospitality tenant.

GTC is a full-service, employee-owned commercial general contractor that has successfully completed a wide variety of projects along the Colorado Front Range for 45 years. 

I have been photographing GTC contractor’s new builds for over 7 years. The exciting part about photographing the Fire Stations is the attention to detail about safety and ease of service for the firemen serving their communities. Building a modern fire station requires a careful mix of operational spaces, health and safety infrastructure and comfortable 24-hour living areas. Photographing these areas provides my clients with what they need to use for proposals to new clients.

The redesign of their offices in Golden, CO I photographed required paying attention to a more modern, comfortable area for clients to relax as well as updated conference rooms and offices.
